Tomorrow, 18 November, Kaspar Jancis’ new animated film Piano will be premiering at the Sõprus cinema

Studio Eesti Joonisfilm is pleased to announce that Kaspar Jancis has completed his new animated film Piano. The film will premiere within the framework of the opening ceremony at the 19th international animated film festival Animated Dreams. All animation fans will have the opportunity to view the film in the festival’s programmes.

Kaspar Jancis is a recognised animated film director, whose previous works have received repeated high praise. These include the film Crocodile, which was awarded the Cartoon d’Or award, the European award for the best animated film of the year. The award is also referred to as the ‘animated Oscars’.

Piano is a film without main characters where the lives of characters that have lost their head intertwine in a dramatic and less dramatic way in an ordinary concrete panel apartment building.

The film was completed at the Eesti Joonisfilm studio and the film was supported by the Estonian Film Institute and the Cultural Endowment of Estonia.
