Priit Tender’s Animated Film The Maggot Feeder Has another Three Awards to its Credit!

September and October were successful months for Priit Tender’s animated film The Maggot Feeder. The film brought home 3 awards from different international festivals.

From the 2Annas Short Film Festival in Riga – the prize for best Baltic film. 2Annas is the longest running short film festival in the Baltics and it was held this year on 21-27 October. The aegis of this year’s festival was “Woman – avant garde practitioner, housewife, prostitute”.

The second award came from the Yerevan International Animated Film Festival. Estonian animation was the focus of this year’s festival held on 9-13 September in Armenia’s capital. Our delegation consisting of Mari-Liis Rebane (Animated Dreams), Priit Tender, Rao Heidmets and Mati Kütt was also present. The Maggot Feeder was awarded the Armenian Cinema Union prize.

In September, The Maggot Feeder was also singled out by Animated Encounters in Bristol, the most important British festival for animated and short films.
